General description
BeOne Medicines is a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to discovering and developing innovative therapies, with a focus on oncology and immunology. The BeOne Pharmacology Research team drives in vivo and ex vivo pharmacology research and execution to support the discovery of small molecules, biologics and various novel therapeutic modalities. We are searching for a Senior Principal Investigator to provide in vivo pharmacology expertise in developing our oncology and immunology pipelines. This individual will lead pharmacology studies to develop robust disease models and generate high-quality PK/PD, efficacy and mechanistic data, as well as enable target validation, drug discovery and program advancement. Working closely with cross-functional partners, this individual also leads or contributes to new target identification, proposal and scientific publications.
Job Responsibilities
Lead in vivo pharmacology studies as a team leader, with potential responsibilities as a program lead for research pipeline projects.
Identify key scientific and pharmacological questions during project progression, and lead pharmacology studies for compound screening, lead/candidate evaluation and IND enabling activities.
Manage, mentor, and supervise bench scientists in executing pharmacology experiments to ensure high-quality, reproducible research.
Prepare and present critical data packages to support decision-making under the guidance of the research management committees.
Stay abreast of scientific and industry developments in drug discovery fields and proactively propose new therapeutic targets and program proposals to support pipeline growth.
Job Requirements
Ph.D. in biology, pharmacology or a related field, with at least 5 years of combined postdoctoral and biotech/pharmaceutical industry research experience.
Proven track record of impactful biological research, demonstrated through high-quality publications or significant contributions to drug discovery projects.
Strong expertise in oncology, immune-oncology or immunology.
Deep understanding of pharmacological research and experimental design.
Ability to synthesize multi-disciplinary data to inform strategic project decisions.
Excellent communication and leadership skills
